Fun down on the farm!

On Sunday we ventured out of the house down to the Big Red Barn! They had all kinds of animals and activities for us to do. We saw a beautiful garden, ducks, peacocks, turkeys, pigs, rabbits, donkeys, horses, and even lamas! My favorites were the horsey and the chicks! We went on a hay ride and played bean-bag toss games. It was a a lot of fun. Kayson even threw a lasso a couple of times around a steel steer and dug up bones! Kylar was very good the whole time and just slept. It was a beautiful day for being outside.

Kylar is more like me than we even know!

Kylar’s cardiologist visit went great today! He was the very first patient seen for the day and the nurses said he was a good boy. The first thing they did was an echocardiogram. Having this test done isn’t that fun, but it’s over quickly. My mama and dada were there to hold his hands and talk to him through it, which made it easier. Next the doctor listened to Kylar’s heart and verified that he does have a murmer, but it was a very “normal” murmur (who knew there was a “normal” murmur!?). Then more good news followed.... she said that his echocardiogram looked EXCELLENT! Dr. Porische was very thorough with Kylar and even looked at my medical chart to see what my heart defects were. Because I also had issues with my heart they decided to do an ultrasound, just to make sure Kylar was okay. They found a tiny little hole between the two upper chambers called an Arterior Septal Defect or ASD, which I have too!

The great news about this is that it’s so tiny we don’t even need to worry about it! Kylar will go back when he turns one to check on the ASD, but other than that he is all good! We are so thankful that he continues to be a healthy little brother.

Thanks be to God for. His indescribable gift! 2 Corinthians 9:15.

Horns & Heart

HORNS - We are so excited that the Texas Longhorns won the Red River Rivalry (against Oklahoma) on Saturday! It was an ugly win, but we're 6-0 nonetheless! Hook 'Em Horns!!

HEART - My little bro decided that he didn't want me to have all of the attention of special doctors...
He had his two-week check up on Friday, and he is already weighing in at 8 lbs and has stretched out to 21 inches, can you believe that?! Our pediatrician discovered that he has a heart murmur. They tested his oxygen level at the doctor and he had 98%, which is great! We're very hopeful that it is nothing serious. He will be seen by a cardiologist on Monday to get it all checked out. He wasn't lucky enough to get MY doctor, Dr. Patel (whom we LOVED!), but it is someone from his same group, so that's great! We're glad that Kylar is being seen first thing on Monday morning and we'll keep you guys posted. He also had to get his PKU test done, he screamed the whole time! He only had to be heal-pricked one time, so that's great. I was just relieved that we were at the doctor for Kylar this time and not me (for once!).

PSALMS 31:24 Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the LORD.

Colossians 3:15 And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful.

Yummy, yummy bath time...

Last night mama and dada gave Kylar a bath, and he loved it! I'm pretty fond of bath time too, so I can't wait until we can play together in the tub! He's pretty lucky because his umbilical cord fell off at the hospital during his alarm removal, so he's able to be completely submerged in water. He was a very good baby while he was scrubbed clean. I wish I still fit in that cozy little tub, but now I swim and splash around the big tub. Mama says her favorite thing washing him with Burt's Bees Baby Wash and then slathering on Burt's Bees Baby Lotion because it smells heavenly.

Columbus Day fun

Yesterday Kayson didn't not have school. It was so fun to have him home to play with. Mommy made us play dough and it was neat, once I figured out that you don't eat it! Kayson made a model of earth and a scorpion... I just smooshed mine, while Kylar totally chillaxed through it all.

Lotsa Love!

Man, my little bro has gotten lots of love since his birth. Look at all the family and friends who stopped by to hold him. They all loved on me too, so it was great!

Romans 15:13 May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in
him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Kylar Easton Kneupper

Well guys, it's official, I'm a big brother! Here are the little guy's stats:

He came into this world on Oct. 2, 2009 at 2:14 p.m.
He weighed 6 lbs. 11 ozs. and measure a long 20 1/4 inches!

I'm still trying to figure out exactly what this new little baby is and what my new role will be with him in the house. I am touching him softly (most of the time) and in general just checking him out and doing the sign for "baby asleep" whether he's asleep or not. Mommy and daddy say it's adorable... even after the 50th time.

Please excuse us if we don't blog for a while, as we adjust to being a party of five! Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers! All is well.

For unto us a child is born, to us a son is given. – Isaiah 9:6

We prayed for this child and the Lord has granted us what we asked of Him. – I Samuel 1:27
