Thank goodness for Curious George!

Yesterday was my appointment with the pediatric neurologist. Mom was a bit nervous about me having an EEG done, but I did quite well. Mom called ahead to see what their plan was for getting me to sit still and found out that they would have a DVD player! She brought my Curious George DVD and my Curious George stuffed monkey. I was a tad nervous at first with the weird hat on my head, but when they put a second hat on George it was all good. The weird part was when she squirted a jelly like substance in each of the holes on my yellow hat. (Which also made my hair look crazy when the hat was removed!) We sat there and watched the movie and it was a piece of cake. Next, we got to visit with the neurologist, and he was so nice. He took my head measurement (for a cowboy hat he said), and watched me run up and down the hallway and did a couple of other things and then pretty much talked to my mom. He explained that my EEG looked great! He also said that there is basically a 50/50 chance that I'll have another seizure, but again, we're hoping for a one shot wonder! He also explained that if I do have a second seizure that I'll be put on medication and at that point it will be considered epilepsy. For now he said to just get lots of sleep and I am not supposed to swim or bathe alone... which of course I don't do. So we'll just keep on livin' and see what the good Lord has in store for us next! Sorry about the dark grainy pictures, mom took them with her phone and the room was dark too!

I'm electrifying!

I love to keep my parents on their toes! Last Wednesday I had some type of seizure. Yeah, scary, right? Well at this point we're not exactly sure what happened. I won't get into details, but let's just say I scared the bejesus out of my mom and pop. An ambulance even came to my house with lights a blazin'. BUT by the time they got there, I was feeling like myself again. My pediatrician is OFF on Wednesdays... as luck would have it! BUT, my nana is a nurse for a great doc and she pulled some strings and got me in mucho fast. The doc said that I should go to the ER and have some tests done, so I did. This part was NOT FUN! I had some vampire people who came and stole some blood from me. Don't think I didn't put up a fight, because believe me I sure did. I lost that battle though. Next, I was to get a CT scan. The nice people tried first with no sedation, ha, yeah right! So of course they ended up giving me some versed. But they just don't know me or my super high energy level! I did get a tad bit sleepy, but never knocked out. They were able to get the CT scan done (while daddy held me) nonetheless. The results came back from the blood-work and the CT scan and were all normal, so I was released (several hours after checking in). Today I'm going to have an EEG done, so we'll see how that goes. We're all hoping that it was a one-shot wonder, so please pray for that! We'll let ya know how the EEG goes. Have a great day!

Allelujah!

He isn't here! He is risen from the dead, just as he said would happen. Come, see where his body was lying.

~ Matthew 28:6, NLT

Happy Easter everyone!

So far we've had:

Easter Fun!

Today we've been busy coloring eggs and making sweet treats! Kayson named one of his eggs (the close up shot) Psychadel-egg! Love it!
We started the day by making Resurrection Rolls, yummy and meaningful! I hope that you're Easter is filled with love, joy and happiness!

Resurrection Rolls

1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough
8 large marshmallows (we used the new caramel/vanilla ones)
Melted butter (1/4 c is plenty)
Cinnamon 1T
Sugar 1T
Directions:

Give each child one triangle shaped section of crescent roll. This represents the tomb. Each child takes one marshmallow which represents the body of Christ. Dip the marshmallow in the butter and roll in cinnamon and sugar mixture. This represents the oils and spices the body was anointed with upon burial. Lay the marshmallow on the dough and carefully wrap it around the marshmallow. Make sure all seams are pinched together well. (Otherwise the marshmallow will "ooze" out of the seams) Top with butter and remaining cinnamon/sugar mixture. Bake according to package directions. Cool.

Break open the tomb and the body of Christ is no longer there!! Celebrate God's love! We ate these too fast, no pics, sorry!

Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die.
~ John 11:25-26.

April Fools!

So, my brother Kayson loves a good prank. April Fool's Day is his kinda day. Mom and I had to get him, and we did! First we put this candy bar in his lunch box. He normally does not have candy at school, or at home for that matter, so it was a sweet (albeit nasty on the outside) treat!

Then for dinner we had a nice tall glass of fruit punchJELLO! We totally got him! He sucked and sucked through the straw and then realized he'd been had! Mwah ah ah! Did YOU guys have any pranks!? What a fun day!
