Another awesome project by Kayson

Kayson had an assignment at school. It was to use a pop bottle to make a vehicle, decorate it and then finally to race it. The instructions were quite simple and basic, but naturally my big bro wanted to make it extra awesome. He didn't want to just decorate it, he wanted to make it something special, a dolphin. So he and mommy made the basic shape and then he covered it all in paper mache'. Not only was it good lookin' it was pretty darn fast too, he said it beat most of the other vehicles. Pretty awesome, huh? So can I save all of his projects and use them when I get to 3rd grade?! Ha, probably not, but he can sure help me!

Prayers please...

Jacob William Hild-Jordan passed away on Monday. He was 8 years old. Jacob was in Cub Scouts with Kayson, and his mother is one of the troop leaders. He died in a tragic accident while riding on a Kawasaki Mule. Please lift his family up in prayers. He was taken far, far too young. We cannot fathom the pain and grief that this family is enduring. Life is so precious and so fragile.

To You, O Lord, we humbly entrust Jacob, so precious in Your sight. Take him into Your arms and welcome him into paradise, where there will be no sorrow, no weeping nor pain, but the fullness of peace and joy with Your Son and the Holy Spirit forever and ever. Amen.

My speech.

I think that most of you guys know that I'm in Speech Therapy, right? Well I wanted to give you guys an update on my progress... My currently spoken vocabulary includes the following words: mama, dada, ball, ma (more), ba (bed), papa, nana, bubba, uh uh (no), boo (cow), ba ba (bye bye) and I think that's about it. Most kiddos my age have a vocabulary of between 50 and 300 words. I'll get there one of these days. Now as far as my sign language vocabulary, it's a bit more. I know ball, dog, deer, fan, down, all done, shoes, socks, sleep, bath, hat, cheese, play, car, cracker, cookie, drink, eat, more, yes, help, hurt, bye, baby, open and I think there are more. I totally understand my mama and dada, I just haven't mastered communicating back to them just yet. No worries though, I'm working hard at it and it will all come together before we know it. Nothing will ever slow me down.

Also, I got a new conformer a couple of weeks ago. Mr. Wenske is trying to get my eye not to turn in so much. He is fabulous at what he does, so we have all faith in him. Plastic surgery is almost certain at some point, but for now we're trying to do what can be done with out surgery. I guess that's about all for now... enjoy this gorgeous day!

Springtime is here!

We went to the park on Friday. I had a blast! Mommy had a hard time keeping up with me (that's why there are so few pics!). Papa and Pama came along and they kept an eye on Kylar. As you can see from the photo, I wore myself out! I am so glad that springtime is in sight! Love it.

And here's one cute pic of my baby brother!

Five months!

Can you believe my little brother is 5 months? Mommy and daddy keep saying that it seems like just yesterday when I was 5 months. Ha, they're crazy, I'm a big boy! I can even open the fridge all by myself. They are lovin' that!

Hope you guys are all having a great weekend like me!
