Happy Birthday to ME! #2

Today I celebrate two years of life! What a crazy and wonderful two years it has been! We've come a long way baby! I celebrated yesterday with a lot of my relatives. My family cannot sing very well so I had to cover my ears when they sang happy birthday to me, ha! But I did enjoy eating my monkey cake and banana pudding (as you can see!). I got lots of great toys and for the first time loved opening them. I also had a blast chasing my birthday balloons around the house! What a true blessing it is to be two!

Growing like a weed!

Tomorrow this little guy will be 7 weeks old! He weighs nearly 12 pounds and is doing great. He's already outgrown the newborn and 0-3 month clothes and is wearing 3-6 months! I think that in a few years we're going to be tearing up the town (or at least our house!).

Wordless Wednesday! (Almost)

Can you believe that I'll only be this many for a few more days?! I'll be TWO on Sunday! WOW!

Kayson's crazy dragon!

Kayson had another school project, and he rocked it! His assignment was to use recycled items and design (and build) something creative and useful. He decided to build a dragon that dispenses peanuts. So with mommy's help they did just that. Isn't it awesome? The best part is that it actually works. You drop a peanut in the back of his neck and it slides down to a box in the dragon's belly. The box has a string attached and you pull the string to get out your tasty little snack. He received the "Most Creative" award for his artwork. We are over the moon proud of him! Way to go Kayson!!

He also received his awards this past week for Perfect Attendance and More A's than B's. To top it all off he has read over 350,000 words for the Accelerated Reader program (at a 5th grade level!) to boot. Keep up the great work big bro!

Crash and burn...

On Wednesday, mommy, Kylar and I took advantage of the gorgeous weather and played outside. If you guys know me at all, you know that I don't walk anywhere, I run. I was doing what I do best and I bit the dust in our the gravel driveway. Prior to that Mommy told me to slow down and hold her hand, but I had my own agenda. This (photo above) is the result... and it actually looks much better in the photo. I barely even shed a tear, but promptly grabbed my mama's hand and proceeded. It's all okay though, because I am Super Koup!

Kudos Kayson!

Wow! I am so excited about my big brother's latest accomplishments! First of all he got one B (an 89!) and the rest all A's for his first nine weeks report card! Isn't that fantastic!? We are so very proud of him.

And as if that isn't wonderful enough, he won a school-wide art contest! His school held a contest recently and the winner's artwork will be the cover of the yearbook. There was one winner from each grade level and then one big overall winner. Friday monring all of the winners were announced and the big grand prize winner was KAYSON! That's right, his gorgeous drawing is going to be published for all to see! The whole class erupted in cheers when his name was read during morning announcements. It was such big news that his teacher called mommy on the spot and let Kayson share the news with us himself. I sure hope that someday I can follow in his footsteps.

Way to go bro!

Oh and how could I forget to mention his awesome echidna project? A couple of weeks ago Kayson did a life cycle project on echidnas. Before his project we didn't even know what an echidna was, but now we know a lot about the little critters. The model he made took over 750 toothpicks that Kayson put in one by one. He worked very hard on this and we think it turned out great!

The things I gotta do around here...

Yesterday mommy's friend Lauren came to visit! She did an awful lot of holding Kylar, so I had to make sure that I got her attention too, by doing sill things like this... Yes people, it worked! She looked through a book with me and laughed with me a lot. I was able to show off my new vocabulary and signs. It was fun seeing her and I wish she lived much closer! She is starting a new adventure with her hubby and dogs right now and we wish them all the happiness on their latest journey.
