This morning we had our pre-op appointment with Dr. Fry. I am having surgery on Sept. 24. Dr. Fry is going to take a "plug" of fat from my booty and put it into my eye socket. She will also take out whatever little tiny eye that she finds. Then she'll attach the eye muscles to the fat plug. This will grow with me as I grow and it will help my skull to grow too. The good thing about this procedure is that since it's my own tissue my body can't reject it. She said that the surgery will take about 2 hours and I may have to spend the night in the hospital. It all depends on how I do after the surgery. I'm really tough though, so I bet I'll get to come home. Next we have to meet with the anesthesiologists and I also have to get blood drawn, yuck. Hopefully all will go well and I'll be good to go for the surgery. Dr. Fry said that I'll have to wear a patch on my eye for a while after the surgery, little does she know, I'll probably rip it off. My mommy and daddy will have fun trying to keep it covered! I may not be able to update my blog for a while. We're moving this weekend and my mommy sad that we'll have only "dial up" for a couple of weeks. I don't know what that is, but mommy says it is slow as molasses. So be patient with me! Stay safe this weekend and be prepared for Hurricane Ike!
