San Antonio Zoo

The finish up our Spring Break we took a little trip to the zoo! It was so much fun. We are so thankful that we got there early, though. As we were leaving TONS of people were heading in. My daddy is a smart man.

We got to see so many cool animals. We even got to pet some goats... it was a blast.

RARE: Texas Snow Day!

Even a dash of snow is news worthy here in south Texas! Our neighboring big city of San Antonio was shut down and we were out of school for the day! I had a great time in the snow with my big bubba Kayson. We played out there and then came in for hot cocoa and s'mores! I wish every day could be a snow day!

My baby brother was still a bit sick so we only let him play for a couple of minutes. He's much better now. He had RSV and it was really brutal plus double ear infections! I'm so glad that we're both feeling much better now. Kylar even had to get chest x-rays because the doctor suspected pneumonia (his oxygen levels were low for a couple of days). Combined we had 6 visits to the doctor in about a week. We're thankful that he didn't have pneumonia and we're both almost back to normal! YAY!

I'm still here!

I've been loving school (and doing great!). I will get more updates to you guys soon. For now just enjoy these photos that my wonderful friend Chelsea Lietz took of my brothers (She's awesome, right?!)

First Day of School!

I have been so excited to start school! I could hardly wait for the big day! Today was that day! I will be riding the bus soon, but for the first few days my mom insisted on taking me herself.  When we got to school I grabbed my teacher's hand and waltz off with her, ready for my newest adventure (didn't even look back!). I think that my mama was going to be okay, although she needed a tissue for some reason.  I am only going for 3 hours each day, but it will be so great to be able to play with other kiddos!! I'll tell you more when I get home!

We are so thankful for all of our blessings! We wish you and yours a very special Thanksgiving! Remember to hold tight to your faith in God, through him all things are possible.

I hear ya!

I did really well today! We were at Santa Rosa Children's Hospital in San Antonio, where they had lots of toys/activities for kids in the waiting room. I did enjoy playing for a while before I was called back.

When they called us to a room, the fun began. I completely refused to have my blood pressure taken (as usual). I did let the doctors listen to my heart and with lots of assistance and I even let them take my oxygen saturation (sorta!). The worst part of the whole day was when the nurse attempted to get my blood pressure. I'm not fond of being held down at all, and I'm not shy about expressing that!

The anesthesiologist was very nice, as were all of the nurses and the audiologist.  My papa stayed with me until I was masked and passed out. Mama hates seeing me go under anesthesia, so I was thankful that my papa hung out with me! (I did get an IV, but not until I was completely out! (Score!))

By the time my mama got back to the recovery room I had stuffed my mouth full of animal crackers and was pretty happy, but groggy. I polished off that bag of animal crackers, had a cup of juice and then moved on to a bag of gold fish. I was starving people!

Half an hour later and we were out of there!

My little brother Kylar was a trooper all day too. (He's learning from the best!)

Great news is that my hearing is perfect.  And my speech is getting better every day.

Thank you all so much for your thoughts and prayers!

Please think of me...

Tomorrow I am going to be having a hearing test. It shouldn't be a big deal, but I have to be put under general anesthesia. I am not fond of hospitals, but I'll be fine. Mommy, Kylar and my Papa are going with me. I can't have food or drink after midnight tonight, and my check in time is 12 p.m. So I guess you better wish my mama good luck too.

If you've got time, please say a little prayer for me!

Thanks guys, you're the best.

PS: Doesn't my eye look fabulous!? I've come a long way baby!!
